My project ‘We Are Nature’ is to produce a series of painting portraits of residents in Belleville, Paris as if they were plants.
The work would form part of my Arts Council England funded commission ‘ The Sign of the Underground’. The works would be shown in Paris and also in England. This is a project in response to the damaging effects of Brexit to foster and promote cultural relations between communities in Belleville and East Birmingham- an area with a high migrant population.
